Brandt Legg left the East Coast’s fast-paced business world a decade ago, moving west to pursue a lifelong love of photography and finish his first novel. Most of his photography focuses on landscapes and wildlife of the Southwest. The cover image, “Illumination,” was taken on Keblar Pass in Colorado during the autumn of 2007.
“We were climbing up the switchbacks,”
he says. “It was a gray, misty day but the
sun broke through and illuminated the
leaves from the lower aspens and backlit
the stand of trees in the foreground.”
